An ode to the Festival by Leon Muston

By lmuston

Today rather than giving you my latest observations about what’s happening at the Festival, today I’m treating you to a little song I’ve written.

Set to the tune of Ne-yo’s So Sick (because I’m still sick with flu), here’s my ode to the Festival.  – Leon Muston, Arts Editor

I’m so sick of car guards, so tired of mimes

So done with people begging all the time

And I’m so sick of fliers stuck to my window

No I don’t wanna see your bloody show

Better check that calendar I have … what’m I seeing today?

At least two dramas and a cabaret

Three comedies, some dance and an exhibition

No time to relax and go fishing

That’s why I’m so sick of beanies, so tired of scalves

So done with wearing clothes that make you laugh

Yeah I’m so sick of jackets, so tired of vests

… and yet I really love it at the Fest.
